Found this on Anglers Afloat
from Jackson Kayak
Hi everybody,
Allow me to introduce myself: My name is Jan and I am the manager of European Jackson Kayak team. I live in Prague, Czech Republic, but most of the time I am on fishing trips around Europe. My job is to find people for our European team. I am posting here all team requirements and policies for Europe and specifically UK. Feel free to ask questions by email, jliska@jacksonkayak.com or here in the thread. I am also available on Skype (zoidberg229) or on Facebook Jan Zoid Liska.
I am looking forward to hearing from all of you, all applications will be considered.
Team stucture
Factory team: Has no dealer loyalty, supported directly by factory and managed by me or later by a future JK team manager for UK.
Regional team: Is directly supported by a JK retailer and is in a close relationship with the retailer. Applications for Regional team are sent to retailers directly. Regional team si completely managed by the respective retailer.
Geographical network: We are looking to establish a team in all UK, so make sure you tell us where you fish!
Team member profile
• Communicative: As a JK team member you will communicate with other kayak anglers. Online, on the water, during meetings. Everywhere you are, be open to new friendships, talk to people, offer advice, ask for tips. We know fishermen love to talk about everything and we need you to be a part of many conversations.
• Friendly: We need open-minded, friendly and kind people on our team. It is very important to us. You will meet a lot of new people when you are kayakfishing from a Jackson Kayak. Have a positive attitude to everyone you meet. Be careful what you say or write on fishing forums and always read twice before you send a comment.
• Professionalism: Do not say bad things about other brands. Quite the contrary, talk about good things about other kayaks but explain why you still prefer JK models. Do not put out untrue statement about our boats. Each of the JK models has its advantages and disadvanteges, be proffesional!
• Fishing skills: JK team is not made of the best fishermen. Our team is made of positive and assertive people that are respected and liked by other anglers. But still we are a fishing team hey So we expect you to be a good angler, not a complete beginner Catch a good one!
• Internet skills: Do you like discussions and fishing forums? Do you like to share your best photos with the fishing community? Do you like to write about your kayak trips? If your answer is “Yes” then you are perfect for our team.
Team benefits
• 2 kayaks per year for team price (you can sell them after each season). Accessories etc. for team price. Selling kayaks is possible only through the closest JK dealer to your location, profit from sales is shared by team member and dealer. Actual team price will be communicated to each applicant. Team prices are roughly at 60% retail.
• sponsorship by fishing tackle and other brands (GoPro, Daiwa, etc)
• team clothing: one hat, one shirt
• Compensation for certain events and trips may be possible (travel expenses, tournament fees). This is determined on a case by case basis. Each must be sent to Jan Liska for review and approved by factory before authorization.
• promotion of you as a pro angler your posts, photos, reports and videos will be published in all Europe. This is great for your career as a sponsored fisherman.
• team friends you will see how the fishing world will open for you. You will always have a team colleague to help you on your fishing trips around the globe. There are over 100 JK fishing team members all over the world, all of them are more then happy to help all other team members and guide them in their areas, arrange cheap accomodation
Team responsibilities
• Fishing reports: We need you to send 2 reports with photos per month during your fishing season. The report can be only 100 words, nothing big. These reports will be published on fishing websites around Europe and US.

• Photos: You MUST wear a PFD on all photos. If possible the Jackson Kayak logo or kayak name should be in the picture, but it is by no means required. We do not need fish on all pictures, just send nice photos from your trips.

• Product development: Each September you are to send your comments and ideas about JK kayaks to Jan Liska. Your comments will be used in product development.
